Mac app & service

More room for your drafts

  • Collapse the Draft sessions sidebar to give your message more room, then expand it again with one click.
  • Keep New Session and Archive History within reach in the compact sidebar. Your collapsed state and preferred expanded width are remembered across launches.
  • Continue editing with your current draft, text selection, and Undo history intact when switching sidebar layouts.
Website & service

A clearer home for your writing

  • Discover Zdraft as a dedicated Mac workspace for messages, emails, and prompts: write here, then copy and paste wherever you work.
  • Download the Mac app directly from prominent buttons in the header, homepage, and footer. Account access remains in the navigation.
  • This is a website and service update. The Mac download remains version 0.6.2.
Mac app

A comfortable reading size, one shortcut away

  • Make your writing larger with Command-Plus or Command-Equal, smaller with Command-Minus, and return to the default with Command-0. Your preferred size is remembered across launches and shared by the main workspace and independent writing window.
  • Source text, translations, placeholders, and completion suggestions scale together from 80% to 200%, while your text, selection, and Undo history stay intact.
  • Reset the main window's position and dimensions with Option-Command-0. Existing default bindings migrate automatically, leaving Command-0 available for content size.
Website & service

More room for everyday writing

  • Plus now includes 500 shared Polish and Translate actions and 5,000 completions each day for $5 per month. Your existing usage is preserved, and allowances reset at midnight UTC. Refresh your account in the Mac app to see the expanded limits.
  • Explore clearer examples of polishing, translation, and inline completion on the website. Public pages are readable before JavaScript loads, with improved search and sharing information.
  • Choose whether to allow website visit and download-click analytics, and change your choice from the footer. Drafts, account details, and payment information stay out of analytics.
Mac app

More room to write, more at home on your Mac

  • Open any message in its own writing window. Compare source and translation side by side, scroll them independently, and return to your session with your text, selection, and Undo history intact.
  • Use Zdraft from the Dock and Command-Tab, minimize windows, or work in full screen. The main workspace remembers its display and position, with centered defaults of 60% width and height. The old show/hide shortcut and display selector have been retired.
  • Choose a distinct writing style with Ink, Blueprint, or Aurora, with refreshed typography, spacing, and surfaces. A refined swan icon and wordmark bring the app’s branding together.
  • Switch drafts more smoothly and keep Polish and Translate work intact when moving between windows. Translation backgrounds now follow system light and dark appearance, and Command-F stays available for native Find.

Safer upgrades and easier account switching

  • Switch between saved accounts in Mac settings without signing out of the others. The selected account’s plan and allowances refresh while your local drafts stay available.
  • When upgrading from the Mac app, checkout checks that the browser is using the same account. If the accounts differ, switch to the Mac account before continuing.
  • See consistent sign-in and allowance guidance for Polish and Translate directly in your draft, including when the translation panel is closed. Existing results and Polish Undo stay available.

Smoother upgrades and easier navigation

  • Upgrade to Plus directly from your account or the Mac app. New subscriptions cost $5 per month from signup, without a trial; existing confirmed trials keep their access.
  • Fixed delayed Plus activation and refresh account access automatically after checkout. Pending payments show clearer guidance and cannot open another checkout while confirmation is unresolved.
  • Search archived message titles and full text locally, with support for abbreviations. Create draft sessions without a session count limit.
  • Use Control-Shift-Space to open or hide Zdraft, Option-Shift-Space for Dev, and Command-0 to reset the writing window. Previous defaults migrate automatically; other custom shortcuts are preserved. Capture window context from its button or menu.
  • Bring the writing window forward when another app is active, and reduce excess space between short drafts and their translations.

Zdraft for your everyday writing

  • Install the Mac app from a signed, notarized DMG: open it and drag Zdraft to Applications. Available for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
  • Free now includes 6 shared Polish and Translate uses and 100 completions each day. Plus includes 30 and 500. Allowances reset at midnight UTC; empty completions do not use your allowance.
  • Get Plus for $5 per month, with a 14-day free trial for eligible accounts. Manage your subscription and cancel renewal from your account.
  • Protected drafts when saving fails, made privacy-data errors visible, and improved recovery from sign-in interruptions.
  • Check for Mac updates through the official website, and follow future improvements here with dated release notes and permanent links.
Website & service

A clearer way to get help

  • Added email and Telegram contact links across the website, with guidance for account questions and product feedback.
  • Expanded the Terms of Service to explain account responsibilities, service availability, and how to request a review of an account restriction.
  • Made trial and renewal information clearer wherever Plus billing is available.
Website & service

A home for Zdraft on the web

  • Introduced the Zdraft website with a look at the writing workspace, pricing, help, and privacy information.
  • Added email sign-in and an account page for checking your plan and writing allowances.
  • Connected the website and writing service at zdraft.app. The download page shows the Mac app when a verified release is available.
Mac app

A separate space for development builds

  • Separated the development app from the everyday app, with its own drafts, settings, permissions, and shortcuts.
  • Added a visible development badge so the two apps are easier to tell apart when running together.
Mac app

More control over polishing

  • Introduced a review flow for individual Polish edits, with alternatives and explanations for ambiguous wording.
  • Improved optional window context so polishing uses relevant text from the selected window.
  • Added optional local writing history, learned terminology, and recoverable draft snapshots.
Mac app

Move between drafts with the keyboard

  • Added configurable Control-Tab and Control-Shift-Tab shortcuts to move forward and backward through drafts.
  • Kept the editor focused when switching drafts so you can carry on typing.
Mac app

Polishing that keeps working without context

  • Improved polishing for dictated thoughts and mixed-language text, even without window context.
  • Allowed polishing to continue from the draft when screen capture, text recognition, or permissions are unavailable.
  • Fixed context capture across multiple displays to keep it tied to the selected window.
Mac app

A sharper app and menu bar icon

  • Refined the app icon and added a dedicated monochrome menu bar icon for light and dark appearances.
Mac app

Version details and a translation shortcut

  • Added an About tab with the installed version and a link to its release.
  • Made the translation shortcut configurable in Settings, with checks for conflicting shortcuts.
Mac app

The first release

  • Published the first Mac release under the Little Swan name, with installation and privacy documentation.
  • Focused translation styles on spoken and formal English.

Our July 2026 Mac releases were published as Little Swan, before the Zdraft name. These notes describe each release at the time it arrived.
